Should I buy a new PSP, the PSP used, or wait for the new PSP Slim to be released?

I want a PSP to play for PSP games, my videos, my PSX games (. ISO), and my other games I own (NES, SNES, etc.) could get a new PSP. They run about 170 $, But are more likely to have updated the firmware that prevents me from putting Dark_Alex Custom Firmware (3.40 OE). But it would in all nine which is very nice. I could get a used PSP. They are probably about $ 100 in the local resale shop. They probably firmware, which is a plus, but I do not buy used because the unit is scratched and worn. In the autumn of this year (4-5 months), is supposed to be a new and improved PSP to be released for the same price as they are today. Some improvements include a better battery life, the internal memory (4 or 8 GB) slot loading UMD drive, and a small form factor. However, it will resist completely firmwares custom.
